Sleep & Waking Up Supplications
1. Upon Waking Up
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ.
Transliteration: Alhamdu lillahil-lathee ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa-ilayhin-nushoor.
Translation: All praise is due to Allah who gave us life after having given us death, and unto Him is the resurrection.

2. Before Sleeping
بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ.
Transliteration: Bismika Rabbi wada'tu janbi wabika arfa'uh, fa-in amsakta nafsi farhamha, wa-in arsaltaha fahfadh-ha bima tahfadhu bihi 'ibadakas-saliheen.
Translation: In Your name my Lord, I lie down and in Your name I rise up. If You should take my soul, have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul, protect it as You protect Your righteous slaves.

3. Tasbeeh before Sleeping
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (33 مَرَّةً)، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ (33 مَرَّةً)، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (34 مَرَّةً).
Transliteration: SubhanAllah (33 times), Alhamdu lillah (33 times), Allahu Akbar (34 times).
Translation: Glory be to Allah (33 times), praise be to Allah (33 times), Allah is the greatest (34 times).
